Consider the Wild Flowers
Underwritten by Knights of Columbus, Council 3477

About the Artist
Corina Crump holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus in sculpture and spent twelve years teaching art to students in grades K–12 across a wide variety of mediums and artistic disciplines. After stepping away from full-time teaching to raise her children, she launched a small pottery business creating and selling handmade clay work locally.
In recent years, Corina expanded her creative work into social media management and digital design while also returning to art education one day a week at St. John Paul II Catholic School. Throughout every stage of her life, art has remained a constant presence, allowing her skills and techniques to evolve across many forms of creative expression.
About the Pronghorn
Consider the Wild Flowers was created as a collaborative community artwork involving students from St. John Paul II Catholic School under the direction of artist and teacher Corina Crump.
The pronghorn was first covered in handwritten Wyoming wildflower facts and uplifting scripture passages centered around flowers and growth. Layers of colorful indigenous Wyoming wildflowers were then added across the sculpture using paper mâché and painted tissue paper techniques.
Every student at St. John Paul II Catholic School contributed a flower to the final piece, making the sculpture a true collaborative artwork created by the school community.
Bright, joyful, and deeply personal, the sculpture reflects both the individuality of each student contribution and the collective spirit of the school community.
Community Impact
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Consider the Wild Flowers will be donated back to St. John Paul II Catholic School to support future student opportunities and creative programming.
